If you're new to real estate blogging, it might be hard to know where to start. Here a few tips to help get you started:
1. Write an introductory post.
Your blog will look funny if you haven't written any posts. Start off with a short intro post, describing a little about you and your real estate background.
2. Add a picture to every post.
Pictures are huge online, and we only feature posts that have a picture. Getting your post featured means it will show up on our homepage, which will make it easy for google to find your blog.
3. Write about what you know and are interested in.
If you have any listings, you can write a blog post about one of them, or the neighborhood their located in, or any interesting historical facts. If you don't have any listings, you can write about a local listing that catches your eye. Or, try writing a weekly market update about local real estate conditions. The more local your focus is, the better. Buyers and sellers are starving for more local real estate information, and they go online to find it. If you're writing about local real estate, eventually they'll start coming across your blog when they search.
4. Keep writing!
The most important trick to blogging is to get started right away. The second most important trick is to not give up! If you consistently write blog posts, then you will start being found by local buyers and sellers within six months. Just don't give up!
